About this book

A spiritual journey of a lifetime. My view in life, drawn by the magic of words. I want to draw you a picture, a picture of words. To describe to you all, what I see of the world in technicolour. Through poetry and song. I touch on subjects from Heaven to Hell and everything in between. It tackles the tough topics, like suicide and Drugs. Like money and God. Also, mental health and Love. All the poems and songs have strong messages but the songs are not complete without music. I am singer songwriter, not a musician. I am 58, and I have been writing for over 30 years. I know I can make a difference. The best is yet to come.

Sonja Wilson Watterson's "HAVE YOU EVER SEEN A RAINBOW DANCE?" is presented as a profound spiritual journey articulated through a collection of poetry and song lyrics. The author aims to paint a vivid, 'technicolour' picture of life, exploring the full spectrum of human experience from profound despair to transcendent hope. Tackling challenging subjects such as suicide, drug abuse, mental health, and the interplay between money and God, the book offers strong messages intended to inspire reflection and positive change. It is a deeply personal yet universally resonant exploration of existence, framed by the author's decades of writing and her conviction in the power of words to make a difference.

Through the magic of words, I paint a world in technicolour, a spiritual dance from shadow to light.

Key themes

Spiritual Journey and Enlightenment
This is the overarching theme, described explicitly as 'a spiritual journey of a lifetime.' The book navigates the entire spectrum of spiritual existence, from the depths of despair and 'Hell' to the heights of divine connection and 'Heaven.' It explores the search for meaning, purpose, and understanding in a complex world, emphasizing personal growth and enlightenment.
Mental Health and Human Suffering
The book directly confronts challenging aspects of the human condition, including suicide, drug abuse, and broader mental health issues. This theme highlights the reality of suffering and the need for understanding, empathy, and perhaps, pathways to healing. It acknowledges the raw, difficult experiences many face in life.
Hope and Resilience
Despite delving into dark subjects, the book consistently threads a message of hope, optimism, and the human capacity for resilience. The title itself, 'HAVE YOU EVER SEEN A RAINBOW DANCE?', implies a search for beauty and joy even after storms. The author's conviction that 'the best is yet to come' underscores a belief in future possibilities and overcoming adversity.
