AI Features and Processing
Chaptra uses artificial intelligence technologies to enhance your reading experience. By using these features:
- You acknowledge that AI processing involves content analysis to generate summaries, insights, and context
- You understand AI outputs may not always be accurate or complete
- You agree not to use AI-generated outputs for critical decisions without independent verification
- You accept that certain AI features may involve third-party AI providers, such as Gemini API
We continuously improve our AI features and may update them at any time. We make reasonable efforts to ensure AI features respect copyright and intellectual property rights but cannot guarantee perfect compliance in all cases.
Intellectual Property Rights
All aspects of Chaptra, including but not limited to the software, design, graphics, interfaces, and functionality, are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may not:

Subscription and Payments
Chaptra offers free and premium subscription plans. For premium subscriptions:
- Prices are subject to change, with advance notice provided to existing subscribers
- Subscriptions automatically renew until canceled by you
- Refunds are provided in accordance with applicable law and our refund policy
- Taxes may be added based on your location and local regulations
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Upon cancellation, your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period.
Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Chaptra:
- If you violate these Terms
- If we reasonably believe your use poses a security risk
- Upon request by law enforcement or other government agencies
- If providing the Service to you becomes unlawful
- If you fail to pay applicable fees after reasonable notice
Following termination, we will provide a reasonable opportunity for you to retrieve your content, unless prohibited by law or if your content violates our policies.
Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement
- We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
- We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated outputs
- We are not responsible for any loss or damage resulting from your use of the Service
- Our total liability for any claims is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Chaptra, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses, and fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from or relating to your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.
