Samsung to launch a unique tri-fold smartphone this year
Last year Huawei stunned the world with the Mate XT, a "tri-fold" smartphone (it folds twice, not three times, by the way). And ever since its introduction we've been wondering when another smartphone maker would come out with its own tri-fold device. The answer now seems to be "in the second half of 2025", if we go by a new report out of Korea. And it will be Samsung introducing its own version, though when it launches it will be available in a very limited quantity - less than 300,000 units, to be precise. Huawei Mate XT This is obviously due to the insanely complicated production required for such a device, but we're sure that Samsung will find ways to improve its production capacity if the device turns out to be extremely successful. That, however, may be hard since it's perhaps not unexpectedly rumored to arrive at the highest price a Samsung foldable ever launched for. The Samsung device's screen will be made by Samsung Display. It will allegedly fold in a different way compared to the Huawei Mate XT, and when it's fully folded the folding screen won't be exposed on one side. This aims to improve durability. Huawei Mate XT The screen size will differ because of the new folding mechanism, and will be "10.5-inch when unfolded on the left side and 12.4-inch when unfolded to the right", machine translation from Korean says. The device will not have an under-display camera. [Source](https://www.sisajournal-e.com/news/articleView.html?idxno=408575)

The Samsung Galaxy A20 announced back in March 2019 with Android 9 Pie received Android 11-based One UI 3.1 a couple of weeks ago. The update was released in Russia, but the rollout has now expanded to India. The Android 11 update for Galaxy A20 in India comes with firmware version A205FXXUACUF3. It includes the June 2021 Android security patch, and you can expect a redesigned UI with the usual Android 11 goodies such as chat bubbles and one-time permissions. The Android 11 update for the A20 should reach all the units in the country in a few weeks, but if you can't wait for the update prompt on your device, you can check for it manually by heading to your Galaxy A20's Settings > Software update menu. Samsung is among the endless list of companies being hit by the shortage of chipsets, and the Galaxy S21 FE smartphone is the latest victim. Earlier this month, Samsung denied rumors of the late arrival of the phone, although the company did not sound confident in its statement. Today new report arrives from South Korea, revealing the launch has been postponed from early August to October, and there will be limited availability on top of that. The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE, expected to be a more affordable flagship in the sea of $1,000+ smartphones, will not launch in South Korea or Japan. It will appear initially only in the United States and Europe. Industry insiders revealed Samsung considered total shutdown of the production, but due to the popularity of the FE series, the Korean maker decided to go for a limited quantity. The company was quoted that this direction is only one of many considered, and nothing is final yet. The chipset bottleneck is a major issue that has also affected the Galaxy Note series, which will only see a new phone in 2022. pgangwani350 replies3 viewsInstagram is now testing publishing posts on desktop
Instagram has started testing creating and publishing posts on desktop. The feature was spotted by social media consultant Matt Navarra, who shared screenshots on Twitter, revealing users will have pretty much the same control over photos and their appearance in the News Feed. A quick glance of how Instagram on desktop works Some users should be getting a Plus icon, but it will work only for posts for now with stories and reels not yet supported. After an image is added by dragging or manually browsing folders, you will have the choice to crop the image, then edit it with filters or with the more detailed options. Once everything is finished with preparing the image, the last panel will give the options to add captions, location, tag people, and all the Advanced Settings like turning off comments, hiding likes and views, sharing options, etc. Facebook, Instagram’s parent, has confirmed to that many people use the social network from their computer, so the teams at Menlo Park are A/B testing the feature to create a Feed post. pgangwani350 replies3 viewsUK's mobile operator EE is introducing roaming charges for the EU
After Brexit happened, UK's mobile operators didn't immediately introduce roaming charges but they are now gradually rolling those. The roaming charges will take place starting January 2022. O2 and Three are meanwhile going to limit their fair use caps - the former will limit the data roaming to 25GB a month while Three is reducing the limit from 20GB to 12GB. For those of you are unaware, the EU has banned roaming charges within the EU but it has also introduced a fair use agreement where you can't buy a mobile data plan in one EU country and use it endlessly in another. In any case, the EU and the UK will encourage operators to have "transparent and reasonable rates" for roaming. pgangwani350 replies3 viewsSamsung Galaxy Watch4 to come with body composition monitor
The Samsung Galaxy Watch4 rumored to launch in early August will come with a BIA sensor, claims tipster Max Weinbach. With a BIA (bioelectrical impedance analysis) sensor onboard, the Galaxy Watch4 will be able to measure the wearer's body composition - in particular body fat and muscle mass - which is an integral part of assessing a person's health and nutrition. The BIA sensor will likely be joined by the heart rate sensor and SpO2 sensor to measure your pulse and blood oxygen level, respectively. Samsung Galaxy Watch3 The Galaxy Watch4 was also rumored to come with blood sugar monitoring, but that's not happening. Samsung hasn't divulged anything about the Galaxy Watch4 yet, but media reports claim the smartwatch will run Google's Wear OS, while FCC revealed the Watch4 will come in LTE and Wi-Fi-only versions - both having NFC chips onboard with the ability to play music stored locally from the internal storage. Samsung Galaxy Watch3 The Galaxy Watch4 will be joined by the Watch Active4 at launch, which recently appeared in renders revealing its design and color options. pgangwani350 replies3 viewsGoogle to warn you if the search results are unreliable
Google recently started fact-checking users' search results in order to provide reliable sources of information. However, breaking news is too recent and once the media coverage goes wild, the search engine can't assess which source is trustworthy and which is not. That's why Google will start warning you if it can't guarantee the reliability of the sources that show in your search result. It then explains that the topic you are searching for is new and it takes time for the algorithm to pick out reliable sources. It's also important to note that the current info bracket is hidden in the "about this result" so the update would bring those notices up front and make them more visible to the user. Those steps should help battle misinformation online. [Source](https://m.gsmarena.com/google_to_warn_you_if_the_search_results_dont_show_reliable_information-news-49753.php)
