I'm wanting to back-up my Android SMS messages to a file to store on my Windows PC, where I can then restore it back to my Android phone at a later date if required.
Any ideas about how to do this?

Back-up my Android SMS messages to a computer file

Install myphoneexplorer both in PC and android mobile. You can sync/download all messages, call history, contacts, etc. to your PC and and back it up/restore/etc.
