Proceedings of the International Conference on Emerging Food Studies: Intersections of Culture, Science and Sustainability (ICEFS 2026)

This is an open access book. Taking into account these diverse yet interrelated concerns, this conference seeks to bring together researchers and practitioners from Humanities, Sociology, Anthropology, Psychology, Food & Nutrition, Environmental Studies, and other allied disciplines. It aims to provide a collaborative and inclusive environment to explore inter-, multi-, and transdisciplinary approaches to Food Studies. We invite fresh perspectives that contribute to engaging, critical discourses on the complex contexts and concepts within Food Studies. This event aims at reimagining how the journey of food—from plate to palate—ignites plural perspectives on the roles of society, history, culture, and science in (re)shaping the field in a decisive and transformative manner.
