About this book

Politics ,being an organic process ,reflects exactly what is put in to it .In India's democratic trajectory this turns out to be true and the recent revelations of the global democratic whistle- bowlers was really a shock to the Indian political leadership ,who made a bee line to rectify the mistakes in in closed door .On the other ,hand the Indian public was quiet passive who witnessed to the developments over the last decade. Infact, it was the historic fall and decline of the INC,which led to the rise of Hindutva right -wing faction which finally led to the rise of Modi to power. Victorious Modi repeated his political journey in 2019 and 2024, where by there was overt and covert ways of de-railing the constitutional values and democratic institutions.Surprisingly, all progressive forces, intellectuals academics and press were suppressed along with the hijacking of civil society groups and organisations. It was the period when Rahul Gandhi made his Bharat jodo yatra.Thouh the move could limit BJP' s wild dream of 400+ seats, beyond that subsequently, he failed to deliver anything constructively to hold Prime Minister Modi from his frantic drive. With in his coalition ,Modi is engaged himself with the mission of de - ideologising India,a mission to erase national history, heroes and reject the very idea of India. In this juncture ,how to set the house in order and regain India's liberal and secular fabrics back to its normalcy? The political experience of the civil society ,progressive forces and intellectuals ,along with the larger oppostion parties can unitedly defeat the foes of democracy and freedom.
