Reading Goals That Actually Work
GoalsProductivity
Good reading goals are realistic and clear. A goal like read more is too vague. A goal like read 20 pages before dinner is much better.
Use outcome and process goals together. Outcome means books per month. Process means daily reading time. Process goals keep you moving every day.
Start with one main goal and one backup goal. If life gets busy, your backup keeps the habit alive. Example: main goal 30 minutes, backup goal 5 minutes.
Check your progress weekly, not daily. Daily checks can feel stressful. Weekly checks show real trends and help you adjust calmly.
The best goal is the one you can repeat for a long time. Keep it simple and keep it steady.
