Clay MacCauley (1843–1925) was an American Civil War veteran, Unitarian minister, pioneering American missionary in Japan, author of several books, head of the Senshin Sakuin School for advanced learning in Japan, and organizing leader of the American Association of Tokyo. Clay also made lasting impacts as a Unitarian minister all around the United States, including Detroit, Washington, DC, and New York.
