Ferdinand Adolf Gregorovius (German: [ˈfɛʁdinant ˈaːdɔlf ɡʁeɡoˈʁoːvi̯ʊs]; 19 January 1821 – 1 May 1891) was a German historian who specialized in the medieval history of Rome.
