Francis Aidan Gasquet (born Francis Neil Gasquet; 5 October 1846 – 5 April 1929) was an English Benedictine monk and historical scholar. He controversially challenged what he regarded as the anti-Catholic narrative of the English history of his age, and uncovered the extent of the Black Death in England. He was created a cardinal in 1914.
